Working with Home Solutions and Opun during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

The most recent government advice on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak suggests that both Home Solutions and Opun services may be severely impacted in the coming weeks. Our efforts to ensure the health of everyone may result in appointments being cancelled at short notice, as well as possible delays in our communication with you. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and are currently working hard to minimise disruption.

To support the ongoing preventative measures of our customers, employees and partners, and in line with Public Health England (PHE) guidelines, we have implemented the following steps:

We are committed to safeguarding everyone’s health

Should any member of our team show any symptoms or present an infection risk, we will endeavour to fulfil your appointment by sending an available, alternative team member. If we are unable to do so, we will contact you to reschedule.

We will be contacting you to confirm each appointment

Before we send anyone out, we will contact you to confirm that it is safe to do so. Ask yourself the following questions:

- Is anyone in your household self-isolating on the advice of NHS Direct?

- Is there anything in the most recent official advice that suggests you should not proceed with the appointment?

If you feel unwell before an appointment

Should you start to feel unwell prior to your appointment with us, call us straight away on 02037 399 198 and we will reschedule. Should a member of our team arrive at a scheduled appointment but is unable to enter your home because you are self-isolating, you may be charged.

If you feel unwell while work is in progress

Should you start to feel ill while we have team members working on-site, inform them immediately and also call us on 02037 399 198. For everyone’s safety, we will then suspend work and withdraw our team. Based on the most up-to-date information on your situation, we will then work with you to plan our next steps.

Understand the risks and all sensible precautions

If you have any concerns, we strongly recommend seeking advice from NHS Direct on 111 or following the advice on the NHS Website.

Cancelling your appointment

In light of the risks and concerns raised by COVID-19, we will happily cancel or rearrange your appointment. Please contact us in advance to make alternative arrangements.
